I live with a disability. So I know exactly what it feels like to stare at a bathtub edge and wonder how I’m going to get over it today. I know the hesitation before stepping into a slick shower, the fear of falling, the way your body tenses because one wrong move can change everything.
That’s why I started Safe Haven Showers. Not because I was looking for a remodeling business to run — but because I kept meeting neighbors who were quietly trapped in the one room of their house that was supposed to be restful. A mom who hadn’t taken a real shower in months. A husband who was terrified to leave his wife alone. A widow who’d fallen twice and hadn’t told her kids.
“No one should have to choose between independence and safety. No one should feel trapped by their own bathroom. And no one should have to face that moment of ‘I hope I don’t fall’ ever again.”
— Melissa, Founder
Every shower we build is designed with dignity, comfort, and peace of mind at the center. Not as marketing language — as the actual point. I’ve lived the struggle, and I’m determined to make sure our neighbors don’t have to. That’s the whole business plan.
We’re also a faith-driven, family-run company. My husband and I answer the phone. My kids know the names of our regular customers. When you hire us, you aren’t hiring a sales team — you’re hiring a family that showed up in your neighborhood because we wanted to be here.
We’re small by design. Every installation is run by one of our own installers — no random subcontractor roulette, no rotating crews we’ve never met. Our lead installer, David, has been with us since day one. He’s the person most of our customers meet on demo day, and he’s the reason so many of our reviews start with “they actually knew what they were doing.” Every member of our team is licensed, insured, background-checked, and drug-screened.
We don’t do whole-home remodels. We don’t do kitchens. We don’t do additions. We do one thing — tub-to-walk-in-shower conversions — and we do them well. Two days, clear written pricing, a clean worksite, and a workmanship warranty that doesn’t shrink when something breaks.
We also don’t talk down to our customers. A lot of companies in this space treat seniors like a sales demographic. We treat them like our parents. That means you’ll always hear a real person on the phone, you’ll get a written quote before we touch anything, and you’ll know exactly what’s happening in your bathroom on every single day we’re there.
We serve Buckeye, Surprise, Goodyear, Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria, and Phoenix. If your zip code isn’t on that list, call us anyway — we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re a fit or point you toward someone we trust.
Safe, stylish showers that make life easier — and your home feel more like you.
Whether you’re planning to age in place, helping a parent stay in the home they love, recovering from an injury, or just tired of a tub you never use anymore — I’d love to meet you. Call us at (623) 363-0502 or request a free in-home consultation. A real person will pick up. Usually me.
